David is currently director of data sciences at H&R Block. Prior to joining H&R Block, he consulted worldwide with over 75 different organizations across the US, Europe, Asia and Africa accumulating over 3 million frequent flyer miles. David has conducted research with the Bureau of Economics Analysis and several universities resulting in numerous articles and three books. He taught economics and statistics for over a decade.
David was raised by an artist, which has influenced his creative thinking as a data scientist. His affinity for the arts led to a collaboration with his daughter to produce a commissioned piece in the Art of Data exhibit sponsored by the city of Kansas City. His YouTube videos have been viewed over 20 million times. David has continued to develop his creative side by taking piano lessons. He is attempting to set the world record in the long jump for his age group. He appreciates the role of the novice by extending himself outside of his comfort zone.
